The bees are in danger, and we are the cause. With our client, VUB Banka, we decided to create a campaign that raises money for bees. In cooperation with WWF Slovakia, VUB Banka started a fund dedicated to support the planting of meadows for our precious pollinators. We will also ensure that these locations are pesticide-free zones. Because if we lose bees, we may lose nature as we know it.
Helping bees in trouble with a handmade font
For any sum given to the cause, we decided to reward the helpers with a wax font as unique as the bees themselves. This unique font was made out of bee wax, melted and molded into characters. Even that had its purpose – the heat was a metaphor for climate change, melting the icebergs and changing the world. The characters were into a full working digital font with a famous Slovak typograph.
